Doodling the day away

what rubbish weather we are having, so although I am moving all my stuff into a new craft room I still found time to do a little doodling, I saw the outline of the giraffe some time ago on the net, I tried to find it again today to credit whoever did the original sketch but can't find it. Anyway have drawn this from memory and filled it with doodles, so relaxing.

New creation

Well I am slowly filling up my house with odd objects the lastest is a vase which can only take dried flowers as it is made from a polystyrene ball and toilet roll inner tube, fun to make and really easy it's covered with string ,tissue paper and texture paste then painted black plus the addition of metallic wax and a few metal embellishments.

Anyone else having a go I would love to see your creations.

Heart doodle

I thought I would try another doodle to enter the pencil case challenge. This picture is coloured with pencils and graphite.

I have also been trying a bit of modelling with Fimo so tomorrow will show you my dragon on another bottle, not sure it looks to much like a dragon but hey this is my first attempt.

Decorated bottles

Heres another bottle that has been decorated with string and serviettes plus of course Petaloo flowers and pearls.  This is an easy (a little time consuming) technique to cover a bottle and looks lovely when completed, this one has an opening at the top for a candle.

Decorated bottles

Something new for me, I thought I would have a go a decorating a wine bottle with mixed media.

For the bottle above I have used tissue paper as the base and string for the swirly effects. The whole thing is then painted black and then I have used gold wax to highlight. The flowers are from Petaloo and the top is an old chess piece. It's finished with a few chains and metal embellishments.

More Poppies

I really love poppies so have drawn more poppies. This picture is also coloured using coloured pencils as well as inks for the background with a little gold leaf and a bit of stamping for a more interesting background.

The picture below is more of a mixed media piece which is painted with acrylics and on the background I have used ink sprays and texture paste through a stencil.  The gold circles are dripped resin which I have then used gold leaf on.

Doodled poppies

So now I have found away of uploading pictures on to this blog I thought I would share with you my poppies with a doodled background.  Theses are coloured using coloured pencils nd a black felt pen for the drawing.

A new doodle

This is my latest doodle which I have done for a challenge on thepencilcases.blogspot.co.uk. I have not used a blog for this before so I am sure there will be a learning curve with this.
